AAU-UPPA is an umbrella association formed in 2013 as a voice for Ugandan Pilots and Aeronautical Engineers with membership drawn from within and outside the country.

George Mazige is senior pilot and flight instructor. He has over 10 year of experience as a professional pilot and instructor. He has worked for Soroti Flying school, Airsev Ltd, Kampala Executive Aviation, and currently Bar Aviation Ltd as a senior Captain, Cheif flying instructor and Head of training. George has logged over 4000 hours and he is rated on the C172, C310, BE58, C208, PC12, B190, and SC7 He is the Vice President of the association.

Tina Drazu

General Secretary (AAU-UPPA) Serves as a First Officer at Uganda National Airlines Company, Uganda's national carrier airline, on the A330-841 equipment, since February 2021. Before that, since April 2019, she is a first officer on the CRJ 900 aircraft, at the same airline. She obtained her Commercial pilot licence from Cape Flying Services in South Africa in 2010. In 2020, Tina was among the pilots selected to undergo training on the A330-800 equipment. She successfully completed the type rating training at the Airbus Training Center in Miami, Florida, United States, in late 2020

Aziz Sentamu

President (AAU-UPPA) Aziz Is a Ugandan pilot with over 15 years experience as a pilot , Flight Instructor and Designated Uganda Civil Aviation Authority Flight Examiner. Rated on the Piaggio Avanti and Gulfstream 450/ 550 Trained at the East African Civil Aviation Academy , Flight Safety International- Florida , Farnborough , Savannah and with the Piaggio Aerospace - Genoa ( Italy ) . He is the President of Uganda Professional Pilots’ Association as well as Aeronautics Association of Uganda .

Vanita Kayiwa

Female Representative For Pilots (AAU-UPPA) Vanita Kayiwa is an ATPL certified pilot with over 10 years working experience and over 6000hrs, of total flying time.
She is currently working with the Uganda National Airlines Company Limited. Upon delivery of the wide body Airbus A330-800 aircraft in January 2021, she was moved from the CRJ900 aircraft to serve as a first officer on the A330-800. Previously, Vanita worked with Airserv Limited, flying the C208B for 7 years, with 4 years as a Captain.

Finance Secretary

Lilian Namukwaya is a pilot with the Uganda police Airwing. She has over 5 years of experience as a professional. She did her initial pilot training at the East African Civil Aviation Academy in Soroti. She is also graduate of Business accounting and finance. Lilian has logged over 600 hours and she is rated on the C172, C310, C208.  She is the Treasurer of the association. She is the General Secretary.
